Carbon Capture & Utilisation Research Programme

The Carbon Capture & Utilisation Research Programme is funded by the Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC) of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) to extend Singapore's R&D capabilities relevant to the capture, storage and conversion of CO2. SERC promotes public sector research and development in physical science and engineering to support Singapore's manufacturing sectors in the electronics, infocomms & media, chemicals and engineering clusters, and to grow new technology-intensive sectors.

Research is being carried out at the Institute of Chemical and Engineering Sciences (ICES), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and National University of Singapore (NUS).

Carbon Capture & Utilisation aims to develop technologies that enable energy-efficient and cost-effective methods to capture CO2 from point sources. Technologies will also be developed to enable conversion of CO2 into useful products.
