Job responsibilities:
Full time commitment to the project
Conduct pressurized TG studies into the kinetics of CO
2
mineralization, with emphasis on the promotional effect of water. High quality data must be generated to feed into computational modeling.
Develop in-situ methods for elucidating structural and physico-chemical changes under typical carbonation/ hydration conditions, and their influence on the kinetics.
Requirements:
Ph.D in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or Material Science
Postdoctoral experience in an overseas research establishment or university
Broad expertise in inorganic and surface chemistry
Sound knowledge of thermodynamics and chemical engineering principles
Hands-on experience in thermogravimetric analysis, FTIR (and/ or TG-FTIR), in-situ XRD, and a variety of solida-state characterization methods
Familiarity with chemical (catalytic reactors) and gas/solid reaction kinetics
Good communication skills in oral and written English

Job Responsibilities:
Conduct thermodynamic calculation for CO
2
mineralization
Optimize the reaction conditions for MgO and Mg(OH)2 carbonation by using of Aspen and HSC-1 software or relevant software
Conduct process modeling and process design for large scale process
Co-work with team numbers to conduct Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) study and do Pilot plant economic evaluation
Requirements:
Master degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or Material Science
Hands-on experience in using of Aspen plus or relevant software to conduct process stimulation and process design
Hands-on experience of using HSC-6 or similar software to conduct Reaction - Thermodynamics calculation
Familiarity with chemical (catalytic reactors) and gas/solid reaction kinetics
Sound knowledge of thermodynamics and chemical engineering principles
Knowledge and expetise in process modeling/ design
