Research Attachment Programme

	Research Attachment @ ICES Student training forms an important part of ICES' activities. Working closely with the A*STAR Graduate Academy, the Institutes of Higher Learning and the Junior Colleges, the ICES participates actively in the training of students in support of A*STAR's mission in manpower development for Singapore. To develop a meaningful experience for the students, suitable staff are actively selected not only as supervisors but also to serve as mentors for them. Students at different academic levels spend varying periods of time with our researchers on projects that appeal to their interests. Types of research attachment programmes: (A) Industrial Attachment (For Local Students) For: Polytechnic students and University Undergraduates who are studying locally Duration of attachment: Ranging from 4 weeks to 6 months (B) Industrial Attachment (For International Students) For: University Undergraduates in Science and Engineering related disciplines, who are in their 3rd/4th year of undergraduate studies or doing their Masters Duration of attachment: May vary from 2 to 6 months (C) Postgraduate Student Attachment For: Graduate students from the local universities who are co-supervised by ICES Researchers for the completion of their thesis Duration of attachment: Up to 2 years (D) Youth Science Programme Junior College Student Attachment For: Junior College students who are in their year 1 Duration of attachment: At least a month, usually during school vacation Contact us at students@ices.a-star.edu.sg if you are interested to find out more about these programmes!
