The Organic Chemistry (OC) programme is housed
in two world class synthetic chemistry labs, with state-of- the-art
analytical and characterisation facilities, and access to kg scale
process equipment.
The research is carried out mainly by synthetic organic chemists
in three major focus areas; making functional molecules; developing
new chemical methods and application to route selection and process
development.
The main applications are in Specialty chemicals and
Pharmaceutical products and process.
