The focus of the Polymer programme is in two main areas: Catalyst and Process Development and Polymeric Materials. The sustainable, environmentally friendly and economical production of polymers requires highly efficient catalysts. Our research efforts are directed to developing such catalysts, with the aim of utilising non-food biomass as a replacement for petroleum feedstock. 

Specialty polymers are essential components of electronic devices, coatings, solar cells and other high performance applications. Our research programme develops new polymers and polymer additives with tailor-made properties to address the needs of industry for these materials.
